Bill's Bar & Burger: Cheap Eats in the Meatpacking District

After a fairly highbrow lunch at The Breslin, we were eager to find and dine at a new cheap eats destination.

So we headed out to the Meatpacking District (yes, you read that right!)...Amongst high-end restaurants like Pastis and Spice Market lies newcomer Bill's Bar & Burger.

From the BR Guest restaurant group, Bill's Bar & Burger is a no-frills burger joint that serves freshly ground, hand pressed burgers. And with its late-night hours (open until 4AM on Friday and Saturday), it is a welcome addition to the Meatpacking District.

Despite the simple menu, we did take some time to figure out which sandwich to order.

Cold Ass beer ($4.50) and Freshly-cut French Fries ($3.50):  We had to get the house beer for its name alone.  It was similar to a Bud Light and goes well with the burger.  It's what we would drink at a backyard BBQ party.  The fries were plump and crisp with a bit of sea salt on top

Bill's Classic Burger ($5.50):  A simple patty with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and raw onions.

A burger should be satisfying and this certainly hit the spot!  The patty is flattened, making the sandwich really easy to eat.  The classic burger is a good affordable option for satisfying late-night munchies.

Bill's Bar & Burger is located at 22 Ninth Ave (at W 13th St.) in NYC.
