Preview of our Philadelphia Trip and GIVEAWAY WINNER!

Though snow canceled all flights and bus routes to Philadelphia from NYC on Friday, we managed to overcome Mother Nature and successfully made it to the City of Brotherly Love.

For the next few days, we will be sharing our weekend getaway with you.

(And since the ride back to the city gave us ample time to list and count the 300+ Cast Iron Skillet contest entries, we can reveal the winner at the end of this post!)

We stayed in Olde City and enjoyed a fair bit of historic Americana.

But it was the food that excited us:  from high-end dining at Iron Chef Jose Garces' Amada to delicious cheap eats at the Reading Terminal Market (DiNic's pork sandwiches pictured above), we filled our bellies with everything but cheesesteaks. 

(Though we enjoyed Pat's cheesesteaks the last time we were in town, we were in search of new eats).  Stay tuned for more on our Philly culinary adventure!
