Looking for something green to snack on for St. Patrick's Day? How about making some kale chips? Jeff loves salty and crispy foods, but I try not to keep snacks like chips in the apartment. So whenever we crave a savory snack, we scour our pantry and fridge to see what we can quickly whip up. I had a large container of Satur Farms Cut Mixed Kale available (which was easy to use because it was just leaves) and ready in about 10-15 minutes.
Making the chips are really easy. Just preheat the oven to 375F. Rinse and completely dry the kale (the kale needs to be dry in order to properly crisp). Spray the kale with olive oil. Place the kale on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes (until browned and crisp). Make sure to check in the middle of baking time (around 6-7 minutes) to turn the kale. After the kale is done, lightly sprinkle the chips with sea salt. Serve and enjoy.
