New York has its dirty water dogs, but we love the hot Italian sausages available on the streets of Toronto. For only $3.50 CAD/approx $2.80 USD, we get a piping hot sausage with tons of toppings. The meat is spicy - the tricky part is making sure none of the toppings fall to the ground!
Most vendors in the city offer toppings including sauerkraut, corn relish, onions, and hot peppers. We've been to carts that offer many more toppings and whenever we're in town, we're on the lookout for the best vendor with the most toppings.
The "Number One Street Vendor" is located on the corner of Spadina Ave and Queen St W in Toronto.
